About Me

Sian against window

I believe in the transformational power of yoga, whether your aim is to stretch and destress at the end of a busy day or to reinvigorate and balance body and mind.

Attending regular classes at the North London Buddhist Centre and elsewhere, I have been practising yoga for around 20 years. I completed the British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) accredited teacher training Diploma at Yogacampus, one of the UK’s most established teacher training centres. Prior to that, I completed the BWY Foundation Course with Susannah Hoffman. I have completed the BWY Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy module with Tarik Dervish, the Scaravelli Immersion course with Catherine Annis and the Qigong for Yoga Teachers Immersion with Mimi Kuo-Deemer.

I attend regular workshops and have been lucky enough to learn from eminent practitioners including my wise and experienced tutors at Yogacampus and from regular intensives/workshops.

I teach a mindful hatha flow class with a focus on alignment in postures and movement, safety and breath awareness, aiming to help students on their own path of yoga.

Outside of yoga, I work for an independent publisher and have been lucky enough to combine both passions with the recent publication of ‘Yoga Teaching Handbook’ (Singing Dragon, part of Jessica Kingsley Publishers).
